haha yes they do. Not to mention third gens helped drive the 2nd gen market up.

 

meh. I preferred my 3rd gen over my 2nd gen.... a little more refined and sleek, but still rugged enough to do truck stuff

but 32k for a stock truck w/ 22k miles that cost 37k brand new is ridiculous

Haven't been to Chaos yet. Sounds fun, but also sounds like it could get crowded there.

I REALLY like the description of the Twin Mountain place and the background of the guy that opened it.....We should definitely check that one out.

 

Twin Mountain is really a great place. John, the park owner, sells Maxx-Traxx and other helpful items on site and is an awesome guy. He has also been hosting a yearly wilderness first aid training course.

 

Can you grab my tailgate skin? Then I can come over to install Friday or saturday?

 

That’s what I’m thinking for my shell. I csn Resources the cross bars and hard ware easy.

 

I've been to Twin Mountain and can whole heartedly endorse John. He's a great guy and has a ton of knowledge. The trails are a ton of fun also.

 

Do you think he'd be okay with a big group of tacomas (and one xterra) coming all at once? Their calendar looks like they are open nearly every weekend too. If so, we should organize this with an interest thread well-ahead of time

 

Unless John has a certain event planned or holiday time, Twin Mountain is open pretty much year round. Be advised though, if it has been raining enough there, he will close the trail network. The terrain is mostly off-camber (I've hit 30 degrees off-camber there) and caked with very slick mud. But there is a pretty fun little obstacle course by the main camping/staging area. First time I went we had about 13 4x4s, the trails were closed though due to weather, so we just played around on the O course. John is continuously improving the park as well.

I do not believe he requires any lengthy pre-coordination to wheel/camp there. Just a call or message is usually enough and he'll have the gates open.
