Awesome, let me know how the snow is. I've been wanting to take the truck up there but don't want to get there and turn right around because of too much snow.

Cabin is right out of Niehart 5600ft or so in the valley,I had a customer come in last week that lives there that said all the snow is gone in town. Probably some up higher where we went last year, you really should try wheelin in snow, bring chains for the rear and a shovel ;) lol

I went snowboarding at showdown this winter and as I passed the entrance of the trail we went up it was like an 8ft wall of snow. That was a while ago though.

I don't think I will have time to run up and check, son in law is going with me and wants to get back to town as soon as we are done. He texted me at 4:49 this morning that he wants to wait until 9-10 to leave since he got too drunk last night/this morning...:angrygirl: I wanted to get up there early and get it done so I can start to enjoy the weekend off (insert cold beer.gif here)

Nice quad man. Is that a Honda 300ex or 400ex?

Thanks! It's a 400ex. It needs little work but rides flawlessly. I had an earlier model growing up and it's essentially the same bike but with reverse now.

Sunday: Status report on Natural Bridge Falls...

Overflowing! First time I've seen it running at peak flow. Very cool! Even hiked down to the very bottom and got misted by the waterfall.

    Parking lot was full too.

Awesome. I’ve ridden a few of those bikes back home, solid rig. I’m debating about getting a quad or possibly a snow machine.

Snow is fairly low in some areas here. I got good and stuck trying to head up to Red Meadow. image.jpgimage.jpg

When it's warm out, avoid the mud. Lesson learned. After a little winching and dropping 10 more psi, I was back on track.

My brother and I are thinking of meeting up in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest to do some exploring and find some ghost towns this weekend. I noticed the low temps are still in the 30s in Polaris so I was wondering if you guys thought it would be thawed out enough up there to do any exploring or if it will still be a winter wonderland? My brother (pictured here) and I have some decently capable rigs but they're no snow monsters.

    IMG_20180426_192552.jpg

If you guys think it will be too snowy up in there, do you have any other suggestions for rad exploring this time of the year (between Missoula and Bozeman preferably)?

Radersburg (west of) is a cool place to get lost. However, all depends on how muddy or snowy it is. I was out there earlier in April and didn't go very far back in there. Probably much better by now though! That's near Toston, MT (between Bozeman and Helena).

I know there's still a big ice pile inside the Wick/Boulder tunnel.

I just drove from Helena to Deerlodge on all dirt roads. There is very little snow. But you could hit a drift here and there still.
