Man, y’all were lucky to ride mongooses. I had a schwinn w/ cheap black plastic 5 Star spokes. I still rode the shizz out of that bike though. Single speed all the hills in Benicia and Vallejo.

Oh I didn't have a Mongoose. It was all I could do to talk my parents into a Stormer when I couldn't bear riding my red and white banana seat Royce Union (that I had mostly spray painted black and put low-rise BMX crossbar handlebars on). Thing was a fucking big tank to get over jumps.

Stormer looked mostly like this, then I got blue anodized bars and Oakley grips. And a red number plate, cause poser and wind resistance. Can't member if I ever stepped up from spokes to the plastic mags, maybe just the back wheel. Definitely had the gooseneck pad for protecting the nards. NARDS! I'M GOING TO KICK YOU IN THE NARDS!

EDIT: I am now realizing, this is when my modding brain began...

There's stuff like that going on all the time, especially when it comes to IoT (Internet of Things) basically anything internet connected that's not a PC.

Like the article mentioned just ensure your router is up to date on Firmware and reboot it. Also make sure you're not using the default username/password. You'd be surprised how many times you can connect to one of those 'NetGear-123Network' connections in an apartment complex and login with admin/admin and have complete access to someone's router.

Yeah, my FIL has been reading a book on this from some famous hacker guy and the shit he could hack, just anyday devices, using shit form Radio Shack (remember Radio Shack) was insane. Basically, if it has electricity and you can use radio waves, it's open season.

Like, I will hack your Mr. Coffee from next door.

Look up Kevin Mitnick, he hacked Pacific Bell calls with a fucking whistle that came in a Captain Crunch box. He actually did some Fed time and is now a security consultant. I met him at the RSA conference in San Francisco a couple years back, his business card was a lockpick set, pretty baller.

EDIT: Correction, that was John Draper with the Captain Crunch whistle. Kevin Mitnick used social engineering to get into Pac Bells stuff and supposedly copy their software.

    Yeah, that's the guy.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Mitnick

....Mitnick served five years in prison—four and a half years pre-trial and eight months in solitary confinement—because, according to Mitnick, law enforcement officials convinced a judge that he had the ability to "start a nuclear war by whistling into a pay phone",[21] meaning that law enforcement told the judge that he could somehow dial into the NORAD modem via a payphone from prison and communicate with the modem by whistling to launch nuclear missiles
