My father got hassled by a cop driving his Ohio registered F150 company truck through Mississippi, driving with a California license. The cop said something along the lines of "You're a Californian driving through Mississippi with an Ohio truck, that doesn't seem suspicious to you?"

He got some bullshit ticket about 'failure to dim high beams', during the middle of the day. I want to say the cop saw the DRL's on the F150 and needed to cite him for something.

It really depends on the cop. If they want to cite you for having uncovered fog lights or a illegal tint they will.

Found out my wheel bearings are in great shape. The reason for the grinding and noise was sticky/bad calipers, the noise was just my tires. Gonna throw on some napa remans and wheelers lines this weekend.

Always nice to get good news like that when you already suspect worse.

Mine is mounted a bit lower but I still go through the car wash with my light bar, spare tire mounted vertically and jerry cans in the back. I only lower the radio antenna and my CB antenna.

I need to call my dealership again about getting mine looked at. I can't tell if it's the wheel bearing or tires howling...

Jack up the truck, take off the wheel and spin the hub...if you hear grinding/rattling and it doesn't want to spin freely as easily as it should, then you have a bad bearing. Pretty easy to tell once you remove the wheel.

I'm going to make some cheapies from some corrugated plastic material (like they use for election campaign signs), and use a few pieces of the wrap-around-on-itself Velcro to hold them. Just paint them black. Might even get creative with some lettering!!

I want to make something like these soft covers, since they're $30 each from Amazon (4 of those covers would cost twice as much as my 4 LED lights cost me)

Sitting in a Toyota service dept for the first time in forever. Hope the cruiser can be sorted out without too much fuss. Dude here is super into Land Cruisers so hopefully he has seen something like this before.

I always thought they look goofy when stock...tiny tires and all. They sure do look badass though when lifted/built up.

I prefer my vehicles to be of drinking age as well. New ones don't do much for me. The cruiser is comfortable and I can use it to commute in the snow (future plans). The taco is capable, rock solid, cheap to own. Need to get an 80s 300zx in the mix soon. And oddly enough I want the crappiest of all 4Runners but I'm waiting for the right one. (89-92 2nd gen with 3.slow, auto, hydraulic tcase, without power locks or windows, no factory swing out) the absolute shittiest combo you could buy, but someone very special in my family had one when I was growing up and I'd like to recreate it.
