What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I have a 60 pound husky, he likes only 3 things in life, pulling stuff, killing the wildlife that comes in my back yard, and female german shepards.

 

If it continues to run and charge the battery then you know everything is fine but your starter is bad.
Of it dies after awhile and wont charge or wont start then you know you have electrical issues like blow fuses or a bad battery

New tires finally came in yesterday and I got them mounted today. Comparison between the 265/70r16 spare I had and the old 265/75r16 I was on and the new 285/75r16.

 

Ahhh yeah I want the OEM parts and I know of no shops here that will mess with ordering from a dealer. $1,200 seems average for fronts

Buy it through Camelback if you're buying new OEM. Not worth it anywhere else.

 

You sure about that? I'm seeing Toyota Parts Deal at 90.05 shipped to Denver and Camelback is at 105.05 after the Tacomaworld discount code. They want 13 bucks more than TPD does for shipping

Well there ya go. I’ve bought a lot of parts from them and they’ve always had the best price, guess I’m wrong on this one.

 

I bounce between the two, seems to depend on the part you're looking for. both are great resources for OEM

I wonder if Camelback has a better return policy? I know TPD wouldn't take back the seat belt receivers I ordered, they have specific items that aren't returnable I guess.

 

I rebuilt the front end with RockAuto when I wrecked it. Fit and panel gap was meh

 

My Ultra Gauge unexpectedly shipped today despite being backordered until mid-July. Maybe the proprietor is a TW member and bumped me to the front of the line.

I didn't realize they were backordered. I got mine 5 years ago and it shipped immediately. Probably out of date now though haha

 

Can anyone recommend a terminal tool kit? I do a lot of electrical work and I'm getting tired of using push pins and bobby pins to de-pin terminals and connectors.
