    If you have the handheld he is taking care of you before shutting down and moving. Not sure about those with the self tuners though.

    Seems like those that have it up and running are all pretty happy, and only will be happier when he gets back up and running developing and refining the tunes he has available. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he comes back strong and focuses on Toyota like he says he will.

    I'm tempted on the ucon, but have just heard so many mixed reviews or issues people have with them. Seems like about 1/3 are happy and no issues, 1/3 have to constantly keep in contact with updates or tweaks to keep it running right, and the last 1/3 gave up and sold them

    I know @XPOTRPR and I were looking at the mapecu for a while but couldn't find anyone with a dyno that could tune them within what state. Then ov started gaining popularity so we switched focus to that

    I'm thinking similar, not that I even have the money to do anything now anyways. Though after driving my buddies tundra I wouldn't mind keeping it Toyota when the 4.0 eventually goes. We'll see how money is when I graduate and get a big kid job again

    No rev hang here, mine is automatic trans.

    Someone said Manual is better in every way. I say except for in traffic, and the Taco rev hang.

    Rev hang is so weird to me, all of my vehicles are of drinking age but I drove my buddy's elantra the other day (has a 5 speed) and it hangs after each shift too. Just an electric throttle thing I guess, annoying but it is what it is. I kinda got used to it, so it isn't a huge deal breaker I don't think. The 6 speed manual tacos are pretty nice to drive otherwise, I don't get traffic fatigue with truck clutches, they're just so soft.

    My shit is all stock.
    The rev hang is SUPER annoying. If the OV tune solves just that: I'd say it would be worth the money. Sadly, I haven't heard anyone state that it does. Mat says the he can fix it. But, as we've all seen... When will that actually happen?

    I had a newer Dodge Challenger rental a couple years back with a 6 speed manual...absolute blast to drive that thing. Gave me an itch to switch over to the muscle car scene for awhile after I got home, lol. But holy hell the clutch on that thing was like trying to push a 10 gallon bucket of paint with your foot compared to my Tacoma. When I got home and went to move my truck, I damn near put the clutch through the floor.

    I've thought about the 4.7 as well.. would be much easier.. but Meh. If I'm going through the trouble for a swap.. I'm goin full-retard.

    Auto is better.. far better imo. ESPECIALLY with a shift kit. no rev hang at all.. faster, harder shifts than any manual can ever do.
