    My Oscar ended up about 10 in long. Bright orange and black. Would come up to the top and eat food from your fingers and leave scrape marks on your fingernails from his teeth.
    Ended up with a bacterial disease. Hole in the head syndrome.

    Yep. A plecostima or 2 in a 55 gal does wonders.

    I was making a joke that my wife does all the work to it. She does a half water change/vacuum as needed. At start up, we did fish in cycling and it took forever. Lotta water changes.

    Oscar's tend to get larger when you put them in larger tanks. I had some African Convicts, they ate the live plants I had in the tank. My brother thought it'd be funny to throw some lunch eat in and they ate that. Same family as Oscar's.
