I'm on nights this week, done Wednesday morning.

That said... I'm off this weekend...

How's about a little adventure? There's a lake I really want to fish, quite aways back.

I am off tomorrow, then work days and nights until the weekend. I am definitely up for an adventure, but I'll have to check with the family to see if I am already doing something I didn't pick :(.

    Sounds great!

Depending on whether we go from A to A or A to B while we're out will really make a difference in the difficulty of the trail.

how long are we talking about?
myself and the kid may be up for it ( if this is a kid friendly outing, which its totally cool if its not )
we talking lunch? Trail coffee? I have a portable generator now, I could steal the Keurig.....:rofl:or is lunch what we catch? ( and that's the royal "we" since I suck at fishing and will be bringing hotdogs. )

**PS: If it matters, after noon on saturday, or All day sunday works for me **

Best long term value for dollar on a replacement exhaust? My muffler looks like it is about to burst, and there is at least one leak at the Y.

    Now we're talking!

I usually keep things kid friendly, just keep in mind I have a dirty mouth and very little filter. I try, but I've taught my niece a few choice words.

As for length, I believe it took us 7-8 hours from highway to highway with breaks and a lunch/fire. We were in no rush.

The specific spot I want to go to is roughly 15 or so km down the logging roads. There are a few lakes in the area, and if we're lucky and the water level is low we'll be able to get down on a beach. There's an island in one of the lakes that's got a gazebo on it which is pretty friggen cool.

As for food/coffee, I have a kettle and French press I usually bring if we're planning on stopping for extended periods. Catch and cooks are sweet, but I don't expect this weekend to be one (unless you really want to).

I'd really like to meet up with whoever wants to come beforehand so we can do a little rundown and I can confirm you know what to expect. If we go in and come out the same way, the trail won't be hard (and if someone gets uncomfortable we're already planning on turning around to come out).

If we head out Saturday afternoon we'll more than likely be traveling out around dusk or dark, so keep that in mind. I'm off both days this weekend so it doesn't matter to me. I'll probably head out one of the days regardless.

Consider giving Car Quest a call. They tend to have prebent replacement parts for various cars and trucks. Dean got one for his old matrix. It was 160 or so, for the full mid pipe.

I'll do that. Might be doing the job before my next outing :(

Is there a night this week you could hold an orientation session? I know you are working nights this week.

Carquest muffler is $200, mid pipe another $60. I think my mid pipe is fine, but the Y with the leak is on a piece with the passenger lower cat. Thinking I should either get the muffler and use my existing mid pipe, or try a one piece from Toyota overstock. The y pipe is gonna get putty or something, I might be able to weld it.

Subbing to this thread. Just picked up my 18 AC TRD OR yesterday. Really looking forward to getting a bit of dirt on the tires.

it's a crack in the seam where the driver's side lower cat output merges with the passenger side, and then attaches to the mid pipe.

There may be other leaks, including the flanges. The bottom of the muffler looks like a colander.

Which Tim's and when? Would love to find out about a nice n00b trail I can try out, that won't break a stock truck.
