    Go round and round.

    So I have been thinking about new wheels and tires on my 2016 SR5. I ran into these:

    http://fitment.blackrhinowheels.com...p?year=2016&make=Toyota&model=Tacoma++(6+Lug)

    These are tactifool, and I am a sucker for anything vaguely tactifool.

    But the smallest wheel appears to be 17X9.5 (as opposed to the stock 16X7s on my truck).

    So I guess before I asked about the largest tires I could run on a Tacoma, I should have asked about he largest wheels I could run.

    Can you run 17X9.5s on a stock 2016 Taco? If so is there a decent all terrain tire you can stick on them that will work stock suspension/no trimming?

    Thanks

    Largest stock tire that will fit with no rubbing on a stock truck is a 265/75-r16.

    You are talking a 285-75 (33in) or 315-75 )35in) tire to safely mount on that 9.5 wheel. You will need a lift, CMC and trimming. Probably a new set of diff gears too. Any thing is possible with lots of money. I think Mesojdm is running those wheels with 35s.

    @mesojdm has a set of these on his truck I believe.
    He is running 35's, but also cut a ton to get there.

    I’m running them like others mentioned. 1) they will have a pretty good amount of poke because of the 9.5” and negative offset. I’m running wide bushwhacer flares and they still stick past ~1”
    2)your gonna need a fat tire to take up the rim width. 285 minimum, 305 or 315 is perfect. But then you run into clearance issues that need to be addressed. And gearing, etc. depends how bad you want them.
    Here’s the closest pic I could find with a direct side shot to show the fitment. I’m running 35’s

    I opened up my photo library and grabbed the first pic I could find showing the tires head on(I don’t take many pics of the taco)to show OP they WILL stick out. Just cover up the other cars with your hand or squint hard so it blurs them:p
