Thanks! Haven’t run into another one the same. It seems to be a bit of a unicorn in this configuration... if only it came in 6 speed too!

 

Yeah, it's definitely a bit of a unicorn for sure! I've seen maybe 1 or 2 others on here in this configuration and none anywhere else. Keep an eye on your wallet man! Lol. Here's mine as it is today.

 

They're all 6 speed. Now, 6 speed MANUAL is the unicorn. Especially with Premium & Tech.

Currently deployed, however my wife yesterday was able to trade in my 2014 Access cab TRD Sport with 32k miles for a brand spanking new 2018 DCSB TRD Offroad with Tech package!

I jokingly sent her a text showing her the truck, and she fell in love with it and went to check it out and bought it!

She will be picking it up today, so I have yet to see it! I've owned a few trucks but always access cab so I'm excited for the 4 doors along with all the fancy technology. Just gives me more reason to want to be back in the States already!! But will make the return home even more amazing!

Yes yours looks sweet! I need the long bed otherwise would love a 6 speed MT. The Cement OR DCLB Premium with MT is the real unicorn! Why don’t they make them????

I absolutely can't wait! Currently out of Fort Carson, CO. But that may or may not change here in the future seeing as how I'm re-classing to a new MOS and have yet to receive follow on orders for after schooling.

Now if you meant where I'm at this exact moment, Afghanistan. But hopefully not for much longer!

 

Yea, that is what I was asking. I stated it poorly. I have a fellow co worker that is going to Afghanistan in July I think it is. He’s in the Army Reserves. On the support side of things.

Ordered at the end of March and got it yesterday. Southeastern dealers get a bum wrap on here...dealing with Cherokee County Toyota outside Atlanta could not have gone any better. Amazing truck and an amazing deal!

Hopefully I'll be stateside in July! Currently in the infantry but not for long, switching to a less physically demanding job, and I can't wait. 6 years was long enough for me in the Infantry haha.

Not to divert the thread but, thank you for your service sir! Where were you stationed if you don’t mind me asking. My buddy was infantry division too, tours were mainly Kabul/peace keeping, brother was in air ops...yea I know that the phrase “peace keeping” is not quite synonymous with infantry lol...but peace isn’t kept through diplomatic conversations over coffee over there! Stay safe over there brother! Your Tacoma will be waiting for you...if your single, pin a picture of it over your cot lol...everyone has someone, or in your case something they look forward to seeing when back in the states. We appreciate you.

 

The plastic mesh is black for ‘18s and I’m pretty sure the trim is still chrome in the pic but looks dark cause of the lighting.
