Just got back from Toyota whom flashed the TSB to get my calibration files to 04B03. Emailed Mat the updated info for the OV tune files.

There is no 1.05. You don’t need to buy another kit for updates. 1.04 is the latest that Mat has released so far

Just flashed 91 successfully (I think!). Idling now - can't wait to take it for a spin! Realized I forgot to turn the auto headlights to "OFF". Seemed to flash ok. Hopefully it didn't matter (voltage read 12.11
    I think).

1.05 doesnt exist, it was merely someone asking Mat for confirmation that there's no further plans for general updates (I.e. future updates would be done via custom tuning if necessary)

OK, just went for a 4.2 mile quick loop around my development. Initial impression - wow! Not subtle but not too over the top! Very smooth, much better throttle response, held gears well into the 4000's when punched but shifted in the 3000's when eased off. Throttle tip in much better but not overly sensitive, took a few hills holding RPM's (finally, hell yeah!), overall much lighter feeling, more athletic! More feedback later today after I've really put it to the test, but first impression is very positive! Thank you Mat, I think OVTune might just be the real deal! 91, 1.04 BTW.

Was there ever a solution for this error? I tried flashing last night and got the same thing. I know there was at least a couple of people that had the same issue, so hopefully someone figured it out

I have windows defender, antivirus, etc. all turned off...

Re-download? Try right clicking the p5flash and running as admin too.

Thanks. I re-downloaded the tune file a couple of different times and tried running as an admin too. Got the same thing each time. I'm hesitant to download the p5flash and drivers again since I believe it was recommended not to awhile back

Some reason I can't bring myself to try 1.04 as I'm just loving 1.03.
Maybe I'll wait for more refinement on 1.04 then give it a go...
Ya I know I can always flash back to 1.03 but I think I'll just stay and play here a while....
Thanks Mat for continuing to serv this community as I appreciate the opportunity to be apart of this continually developing product and reaping the benefits...

It’s so easy to swap back and forth though. It’s worth a shot.

Was it that big of an improvement with towing? I hate how it shifts right now.

There was never a solution that I could come up with, downloaded, re-downloaded tune files. Fiddled with windows defender until I manually disabled windows defender in the registry. Thought there could be a naming issue with the file as it did not match my system ID (missing a #). Switched USB Ports, put on a tin foil hat, stood on my head, removed my kitchen sink etc.

This system is similar to some that I have used in the past when developing software for some video game addons (hacks) so I went through as many of the troubleshooting steps as I could remember from those days. I have a pretty good guess whats going on, waiting on Matt for a reply.

So, I successfully flashed my ECU with 1.04 this morning following the dongle-less process. Was super easy following the instructions using a Lenovo LT on Windows 10 with windows defender disabled and by running P5flash as an administrator.

    IMG_7423.jpg IMG_7424.jpg

To be fair to Mat and everyone else following this thread, here is a summary of my experience from purchase to flashing:

    5/10/18: Ordered
5/21/18: OV tune kit arrived & System ID emailed
5/23/18: 2nd request sent with System ID
    5/28/18: Tune files received
After travelling, I was finally able to install this morning, 5/31/18 and results of the flash are shown in pics above.

Truck is idling now (not sure if this is required since it's not in the instructions, but did so after reading what others did). I will drive and post feedback on the 91 tune.

EDIT: drove it through the hills and let’s just say it drives like a champ. You should’ve seen the smile on my face. No more lugging, bogging and embarrassing “I think I can” moments so far!!

You will have to purchase a new license for the new vehicle. I think it's in the $350 to $375 range but don't quote me. The tune is not transferable to a new vehicle. But you'd be better off emailing and asking Mat what would be best to do.
