    I currently have the Xenon Depot H11 HIDs in my low beams. Going to put the the Xenon Depot LED's in my high beams eventually. Why wouldn't I just go with the H9's then? Why are you using the H11's in your high beams also? Aren't the tabs a little different between the H11 and H9?

    H11 and H9 use the same mounting hole/socket and connectors.

    The differences are "basically a matter of different filament with different characteristics. The H9 has a 65w (nominal) filament optimized for maximum luminance and flux at the expense of shorter lifespan. The H11 has a 55w (nominal) filament optimized for long life at the expense of lower luminance and flux."

    EDIT: I'm not sure if or how LED bulb makers are differentiating from H9 or H11. I know the Hikari was listed the same bulb for both H9 and H11...

    @rickm - Our H9 and H11 LED kits are the same. @ToyoDrew 's response above regarding the differences between the two halogen bulbs is spot on!

    @ToyoDrew - Our H8, H9, H11, & H16 all share the same base.

    It might be a moot point for you since you already turned it, but I used a Sharpie and marked the top of that screw (at the 12 o-clock position). With the truck about 1 foot away from a wall, I marked the wall where the top of the cutoff line is for the headlights. I then backed the truck 25 feet away from the wall and then marked the wall again where the cutoff line was now at. When the truck is 25 feet away, there should be a 2 to 3 inch drop from the first mark on the wall (when the truck was only 1 foot away).

    Mine was dropping about 5 inches if I remember correctly, so I ended up having to turn each screw a full 360 degrees in order to raise it a couple inches. As you're turning the screw, each "tooth" is super small incremental change and I couldn't see it moving with the naked eye. Because I couldn't see any movement, the only thing that really told me I had changed anything was by comparing it to the marks on the wall. Once you get out on the roads tho, then you really notice the difference!

    If anything, do as Rob said ealier and get up behind a couple sedans and make sure your lights get to the top of the trunks without actually shining into the rear windows.

    Glad I could help. It's how we roll in here.

    Were you in front of a wall? I know this sounds odd but I felt the same way. Almost like 2 or 3 turns did nothing then all the sudden it jumped up quick. Try again, but make sure you keep track so you can do them both the same.

    Personally for the money I have in the Hikari bulbs I am done with headlight bulbs. I am happy with what I have. Just going to put those in my faux Pro headlights this weekend. Then done with lights. Basically done with mods. I think a summer hiatus from TW is coming. Don't expect any further mods. At least not to the Tacoma. Time for a new project. Maybe another Z28.

    If I wanted a set of the H11 high beams as @RobP62 is doing, and match my Phillips Xenondepot Extreme HID low beam kit as best as possible, what link should I use to order?

    So is this the same bulb as the H11 led foglight kit?

    This is the Xtreme Pro LED bulb, which is what I'm reviewing currently. This is their top of the line LED kit.

    Wow, 20% off the already discounted price...that put it right in the sweet spot for me (and apparently @APynckel too :D )!! I literally almost bought them, it was in the cart and was filling out my info! The $32 in shipping to Hawaii brought me back to my senses tho...

    Not sure why it's so much in shipping (for 3 day air) when a USPS flat rate would have been about half that, plus it almost always makes it in 2 days (because it can ONLY go by air). Oh well...I'm moving back to mainland in a few more months, maybe I'll be able to catch a Labor Day sale or something.

    Damn! You should have contacted them to ask for a break. I agree, $32 bucks is crazy.

    I couldn't. It was too late in the evening...which means it was the middle of the night for everyone else.

    No worries, I never use my HBs anyways (other than to flash them to get someone's attention) and I'm still very satisfied with the Hikari's in the LBs and the Morimoto's in the fogs. :D
