Long Travel BS Thread

At some point the precision in the fit between the nut and the machining on the wheels would come into play on that. On mine I get everything hand tight and torque in a typical star pattern - gets the job done... I haven't gotten my truck over 50 though so I might get some higher speed vibes, we'll see - I'm getting rid of the spacers since I am getting rid of all 4 hubs though

 

I think it's all because that spacer was intended for a different vehicle, hence the smaller hub bore and thicker base intended for longer studs for a different OEM than Toyota, such as Jeep or Ford Ranger/Explorer

 

Yup, I remember that too. They marketed it so that you didn't have to buy new coilovers and could run OE CO's with their LT kit...LOL fn' Allpoo

 

i told them what i have and they made these just for my truck ....

 

Hopefully the next set works out. I have a set being made so I’ll be sure to double check the fitment. It’d be a bummer if they didn’t because I’m on week four of waiting.

at least the bore would be correct at the very least. Toyota studs are short as hell though. I have ET nuts on my rear spacers and never had an issue. But they're Toyota bore.

Any issues with the shocks after flexing??

 

no issues besides grabbing the resi hose clamp "extra" which i snipped.

 

what kind of coating is that ? Will the collars scrape the coating off of the threads ? My fronts are in great shape but the coating on the bodies is gone and they look like shito so I've been pondering my options...

Nah, that would never work on threads and would not stick to the King shock bodies unless you sandblasted or self etch primed them first...none of which would also work on the threads. I think he had either anno'd or cerakoted them, prob cerakote because he would have to own the pure race aluminum bodies to have anno'd them ?
