    I am thinking about using the backup harness for my truck, but use the front camera harness for a different vehicle. Can the front harness be used by pushing a button to activate the backup camera? Is that how it works?

    This mod only works on 2014+ Toyota Vehicles. But sounds like you just want 2 rear harnesses.

    My understanding is that the switches are push-on/push-off. What happens if you have one of the cameras on, and push on the other camera without pushing off the first camera?

    If both switches are on at the same time, it will default to the front camera.

    That's just a SPST switch. 1 pin connects to 12v constant and the other 2 pins connect to the harnesses to operate the rear or front camera.
