What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

So in other news i found out lce makes stainless steel break lines for 5lugs in stock,3” and 6” lengths

They also make lines for you 6lug guys going fron stock to tundra breaks

 

285/75r16 on 16x8 4.5in backspacing rubs my frame full lock turning passenger. running 5100s/eibach upfront. will 1.25in wheel spacer be enough? I have LR UCAs would adjusting the caster help with this or is wheel spacers the only way to go?

 

The spacers should fix that just fine, but the ideal is to have a wheel with a bit more backspacing than stock with 33s

 

But al the nice looking wheels for are trucks are like 4.5” bs id you go anything bigger then 15” rims. Atleast from what ive seen

 

Should be able to find wheels with 3.5 and 3.75" back spacing pretty easily. Even 4.0 or 4.25 would be better

 

So after adding some KC daylighters, Its time to figure out how to clean up the wiring in my engine bay. With Retrofitted headlights, a winch and now the offroad lights and the plan for some more lights in the future, can anyone give me some suggestions or point me to a write up or two that will help.

 

Idk but atleast for 5lugs all the 17” rims are like 4.5” or atleast the ones i like.. which are the Americans racing atx rims

Anything with less bs is usually a 16” or with little bs is like a 15”

 

Combine, simplify and shorten. That's been .y long-term goal forever haha. A fuse/relay box can really help you consolidate.

 

Look into getting a second fuse box for your truck and running everything off that so you only need 1 big wire coming off the battery to that box then run everything through the box. Braid what ever wires you can together or run them through that plastic sleeve

Edit: kinda hard to braid them when they are already ran but if you are running lots of wires what i do is cut the wires to a length i need then tie one end of all the to something put the other end in a drill and twist them all together so i can just run it as one vs lots of single wires

 

ideally I would get SCS F5 with 3.5. But I just cant afford it right now. I already had some methods 16x8 with 4.5bs so I was hoping it would work. for now the wheel spacers will have to do.

 

Just make sure to buy bora or spidertrex. Or maybe sixty auto. Dont go on ebay or Amazon

 

Is there a point to running meth with a 7th injector kit should you just stick to one or the other

 

I was only looking for Bora or Spidertrax. haven't heard of sixty auto.

 

Plenty of folks just put water only in the meth injection systems just to cool the air charge, works well alongside 7th

 

They are another us brand. I have them. Pretty and and solid. Maybe a little cheaper then the others. But if i was you i would probably stick to bora or spidertrax

 

What if i just rn my ac into my intake like fancy cars

 

any locktite required for the install?

 

I bet you lose more HP running the AC than you do cooling your air charge the 2 or 3 degrees our ac systems could manage haha

 

I mean if my ac pumps out air thats 20 degrees cooler then the out side temp then it could make more hp. But thats alot of work. Ill just look at meth kits for when i every get a SC

 

I would use anti-seize on it tbh. Just make sure to re torque the spacers every 100 miles or so like 3 times to make sure they arnt gunna get lose and you should be fine
