Hey Josh! Chris told me you were on here. I love the bhlm!! I've been wanting to do the same. It's an expensive mistake if I jack it up! I'll follow your build to see what other mods you have planned.

Yeah, BHLM (Black Head Light Mod). Sorry, I guess I've adapted the lingo around here.

Another simple mod. Hated the chrome on the taillights but since I had installed the light trim getting the Import Equipment vinyl wasn’t an option so bought these stick on glass repairs by 3M at Autozone for $8 and cut them to the shape of the trim.

 

What are those guards on your taillights I like them a lot

Glad y’all like em! Wife got em for me for Christmas. It’s found on eBay at the below link. I painted mine matte black. It’s just plastic so more of a trim than a guard but still adds a nice style I think.

Don’t some mods since I last posted. Installed my Hi-Lift mount to the back of the bed last week! Looks and rides great!


Also got my AR23 wheels in and had one mounted on one of the 33’s. Looks clean and can’t wait to get the lift and slap these puppies on!


Also got some Cabela seatcovers installed with Smittybilt Molle seat backings over those! Durable and useful!

 

My wife and I just picked up a 2018 SR5 4x4 DCSB. I am going to keep an eye on your build for ideas of things to do to ours once the newness has worn off. It will probably be a while my wife got mad when I started showing her all the things we could do. She likes the truck how it is, so it will probably be gradual, subtle modifications for a while.

 

Awesome sounds good! She’ll come around eventually lol. It takes time and money. I’m a little behind on posting so gonna do an “as it stands” post here soon. Working on a DIY shovel mount for the bed at the moment.

 

That is actually the one modification she seems to be okay with. She likes that one because she said if I piss her off she needs the shovel to burry me out in the middle of nowhere. The one I put together uses U-bolts because I just wanted to get stuff in town, I think eventually I will order some quick fists so that I can mount the shovel and axe on the same side rather than being limited to mounting one tool per side.

Not bad at all! I’ll post pictures of mine after they’re painted. I’m utilizing some hardware from Lowes, 2 thick pieces of steel and some quick fists.
