I think that's what @HamerMan was planning on doing. Doesn't meth work by not only cooling the charge but raising the octane to prevent leaning out, whereas the 7th is literally adding more fuel to the mix to prevent lean out...so both working together would be an even better chance at keeping pinging and leaning out at bay. Unless I'm misunderstanding something

Yeah, you usually end up having to turn down the duty cycle on the 7th because of all the xtra fuel

I think that's another solid option, URD offers a larger injector kit as an alternative to the 7th for people that can't run the 7th (trucks with EGR, for instance).

Could work well, I don't know what the flow on the larger injectors is, usually it is nice to have a method of tuning fuel with bigger injectors.

Fuel pump should be a mandatory upgrade anyway with boost of any kind

Well, I'll be replacing my CV axles this weekend. Boots have been torn for a while, but now I'm getting diff oil out of the driver's side. Sounds like removing the CVs can damage the differential seal (and one of mine is likely toast already,) so I wanna grab a couple, anyone have a PN?

yeah I think the URD kit includes a piggyback for tuning them (same as the 7th does). Saw the URD larger injector kit going for $300 on the TW Facebook page, solid deal considering I think it retails for nearly $1k.

I thought it was about the same as the 7th kit. I wonder what the difference would be between the two on a non egr engine

Thanks for posting this. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one feeling this way.

I have resorted to using the ignore button on occasion when it becomes too obnoxious. I suppose that is a bit passive/aggressive on my part tho. Maybe instead I will start using the 'stay on topic' emote instead. :cookiemonster:

I don't know anybody running the larger injector kit...for some reason it seems like most people opt for the 7th if they can. Really though if you think about it, the 7th sort of acts like a band-aid to an issue with the lack of proper fuel whereas the larger injectors would be more of a solution to the problem.

yeah if you have EGR then you cant run the 7th, because the 7th injector plugs into the EGR port. I don't think you have EGR though being a 2004 but should check anyway.

and yeah, it's not CA street legal because URD hasn't gotten any of their stuff CARB certified....takes big $$$$$$ to get that. Took Magnuson forever even though TRD offered the same blower with a CARB cert, because they dished out the dough for it. You could run the same blower from Magnuson and not pass smog visual even though there's no mechanical difference. All about that CARB sticker. Was the first thing the smog tech checked when he opened my hood and saw the TRD blower. Same with my TRD headers.

I managed to pass smog with my 7th injector last year...smog tech didn't say anything about it. I was pretty worried too, thought for sure I would get dinged for it. I wrapped the steel braided line in electrical tape for it though so it wasn't so glaringly obvious in the engine bay, and looked more like the other vacuum lines in there...maybe that helped.
