Alabama thread!

My biggest concern is water. I absolutely hate driving through it. Got real stuck once with water coming in and had to wait a couple hours to get extracted. Not cool.

But anyways, yeah, I'll let ya know what we end up doing. I'd prefer to enjoy a day of wheeling instead of worrying about going on to somebody's property uninvited or driving in to a hole. Haha.

 

i'll be driving from tx to orlando fl over the next few days. will be passing through alabama on sunday.
can anyone recommend any food places (bbq or homestyle/country) or sights along i10? thanks

@cdk I know of a couple places but they are a bit south of I10 down near Bon Secour and Summerdale. A place called Big Daddy's is near Weeks Bay and The Tin Top Restaurant is in Bon Secour.

@5-0 Taco I took a look on FBMP, eBay and CL. Saw a few for sale but for F150, Chevy and Ram. I’ll keep an eye out and let you know if I see anything.

 

You can’t really wander into someone’s property out there... just be cognizant that you don’t want to go there after a significant amount of rain.. you can can trapped real fast haha

 

Well shit. Georgia Boot has quit making the boot I've been wearing. Tried on at least 8 boots today looking for a new work boot. Nothing compares to the ones I have now.

I've wore this pair for the last 10 years and I haven't found a boot yet that can even come close to feeling the same.

 

Dude that sure does suck. Work boots become an extension of you. My favorite ones I’ve found are redwing with the custom soles. You could also consider a custom pair. They are crazy expensive at around $400+ a pair but if you’re wearing them for 10 years it would probably be worth it.

Joe Patty's seafood in Pensacola. Out by the Bay and just pass Alabama. Orange Beach is in Alabama and probably has some good places to visit for food. Problem is that I-10 generally runs east to west about 20-30 miles above the coastline across both states.

 

Nope but have researched a few websites that I might be able to get a screen from. Now that I have it out I know the model number to look for. I don’t tinker with stuff like this so I’m sure I jacked something up.

Any idea what this is?
