I've got a pretty big one coming from my passenger front side when cranking the wheel and reversing...at least that's what always makes it happen for sure. Just started a couple days ago, ever since my big road trip last weekend I've had a few new little issues pop up. The taco doesn't like long distance travel much anymore. I think it might be a control arm bushing but I'm not sure yet.

Are you squeaking when turning, going over bumps, etc.?

My LCA bushings squeak sometimes too, stress of reversing changing where they ride might do that.

I'll try hitting the breaks next time it does it. Brakes have meat on them but they are pretty old

Just driving straight, going down the interstate and down a little back road so far

Hopefully not a warped rotor or something between the pad and rotor. Doubtful but a possibility

The tuner is worthless imo. It's old tech and a paint to tune.

An aem FIC 6 with larger injectors would be the way to go now days with a blower. Add a meth kit if you want but wouldn't really be needed with larger injectors and tuning.

That’s exactly what I am running. At the moment I’m only pushing water through the water meth. When the time comes for much more boost, then I’ll switch to the 50/50 mix.

    Great...

Just got a call from the mechanic. He said everything was looking good and that he was almost done. However the double cardan joint is going out, and Toyota only sells full rear drive shafts as replacements. If I can't find one in the junkyard tomorrow (fat chance) what is a person supposed to do??? Grease the hell out of it while driving across the country?? I once was forced to nurse a radiator with coolant for 1500 miles because we were stranded and broke. Ended up just swapping engines lol.

Bring it to a Driveline shop. They can replace it, if I recall correctly.

Oh okay, I need to adjust one of my mounts right now, but all said and done, compressed bumpstops will leave me 3/16 of extra shaft. They are about 1/4 from bottoming when my axle hangs free.

Can anyone comment or suggest on a rear view camera placement before i drill? I semi-fabbed up a mounting plate for a flushmount camera i bought on Amazon. I need to be able to see when i have my bike rack attached. See pics to get an idea of where im considering mounting it.

Good thing im a pack rat and kept the license plate light covers+gasket.

My OCD makes me want to remove the center cab lock and relocate it so i can mount the camera right in the center.

    Thanks for any help.
