    A little a this, a little a that...
Haha! That happened to me (with a stint in an 80 series first). I miss my first gen. Kids kill your dreams but it’s so worth it.

that's what I keep hearing but the whole 'dream killing' thing makes it hard to believe that's its worth it....must be one of those epiphanies you only get once you actually have a child, lol.

thanks! Nope, we didn't make it all the way to the lake...ran into the same issue as you. Couple of Jeep guys were coming down the trail as we were going up and told us that it was impassable due to the snow pack that was still up there. We made it as far as the 2nd campground (in the photos) and camped there for the night, then headed out to Mammoth the next day. Just took the Jeep's word for it since we were there solo and I didn't want to get stuck on that trail, or worse.

That morning though there were a couple of groups of Tacomas, Landcruisers and T4Rs headed up to the lakes...no idea if they made it all the way. The Jeeps that warned us were pretty well built up and some of the Toyotas we saw the next morning were stock....so who knows. Definitely want to go back later in the summer when the snow is gone, was pretty bummed we didn't get to camp by the lakes.

    They are so cute.
Wife took this yesterday morning. First day back from Japan. Everyone was a bit jet lagged and overslept

haha, yeah you guys look well-rested there...I bet that jet lag is pretty intense.

In 1 - 2 years tops I'll definitely be a part of that club, I have little say in the matter at this point lol. Truth be told though I am really looking forward to it.

Geeze. Are the fish really so big that you need to reel them in using the Taco?! That's like driving a semi to go get a gallon of milk from the store. :D
