Im currently running 285/70's but my spare is the stock size. If I ever have to use it, will it damage my LSD? Ive heard horror stories about the spare blowing out due to the difference in size, and possibly damaging the diff.. Is this true or will it be ok?

Use it on the front, and put a 285/70 in the rear. If used for a short period, it wont hurt anything, but wear will be increased on the clutch packs in the diff.

Do not use 4x4 with an odd tire size on. It will bind constantly and cause problems, breaking things.

He's a Prerunner, so it would be pretty difficult to get the front to engauge. :p
