Crank won’t turn

Well from the look of inside the cylinders it's quite possible the put water in the tank but good you're checking it out. Also, blow out the fuel lines going from tank to engine. Goid luck and keep us posted.

It may not be water in the tank. When I lived in PA, the girl I was with cheated on me with my bosses son. He drove a Cummins, and one winter night I decided to piss in his fuel tank. The next day at work he was complaining about his water in fuel light being on. I also pissed on his door handles one night at a party. Froze them shut.

 

Sorry to be a downer, but diesels have a fuel/ water separator, while NAS gas vehicles don't. Any water in the tank will immediately go straight to the fuel rail.

Edit: but the separator has a drain, and that lands right on the frame and the front different/ driveshaft.....so when he drained it you actually pissed on his truck twice.....

 

Yeah I was in the shop when he drained it. It was very hard not to laugh at him. That was also the day I had enough. I started doing an oil change on one of their semis. I drained the oil put the plug in and loaded my tools and left.

Any updates OP? I just came across a 1GR out of a 2009 4runner that can be at your door for ~$2,600... it has 47K miles. @Nickj67

 

I think you'd have to swap the upper/lower oil pan from the old one since you're a prerunner... That's a question for @Torspd
