Reminds me of workin at the foundry. I kinda blew off part of my senior year in HS to work night shift at a local aluminum foundry. Even during the winter when it was -10 outside you were sweatin to the point of dehydration. One of the nastiest jobs in there was cleaning the pit under the sand core machines. We used a sand resin mix that was activated by argon gas. We would have to clean pits once a year, it would take shovels and jack hammers to bust it up and then load a hopper that was dropped in with a forklift.

It was fun though, I was makin more money than my teachers with the OT.

Morning friends! Happy Friday. This weekend is 'take my parents to the summer house on the cape weekend'. Housework, playing in the garage, etc will have to wait. That's ok, I'll get a fried oyster dinner out of it if I play my cards right...

As for working in AC, I've been fortunate to find employment in climate controlled factories for the last 20ish years. Early in my career, one place didn't have AC out on the mfg floor and it was draining on those hot, humid days - especially in the cleaning area with the torpedo dryers.

Looks like they are lined up in the staging area for the 1/4 mile run...

    Morning.
ONE MORE DAY, ONE MORE DAY...

Weather is suppose to be good this weekend.
So I see fishing in my future.
    Maybe BOTH DAYS.
Called for a app. for the bike for a sticker. Ran out of stickers.
Will call today see if they come in.
    This happens every year.
So I have two places I go. They both can be out at anytime. Sucks I’ll tell you.

    Quick story.

Fixed a car a week ago for check engine light.
    Bad AF sensor.
    Light comes back on.
    Comes back in, no appointment.
    Screaming, yelling, wants instant service.
So of course I worked on it so I get it. I hear the story.
So I go get the car. He’s waiting for me.

Asking me if I know how to work on a car.
If I know what I’m doing.

    REALLY????

So I don’t say to much but I bring it in.

    Scan it..
    Are you kidding me.
    Gross evap leak.
    Loose gas cap.

Sooooooo tighten it down. Do the onboard test. Pass. Ok

Fuel tank was 1/4 when I worked on it.
    Almost Full now.....
    Dumbass.
Soooo of course he doesn’t pay.

So by luck I’m getting another car and he walks out.
So I walk by him and ask if he knows how to put fuel in a car?
    Better get some training....
And I walk to the next car...
    BAD MIKE...

Morning Bob, I can remember those Lawn-Boy mowers would be tossed to the curb back in the day because they would start to run bad. Most of the time it was a clogged exhaust that dumped out in the mowing deck, and would get clogged with grass. They were my favorite push mower.

Board meeting last night. It went quick. I get home early. Decide to watch NBA Finals game 1. Get to sleep @ 12:45. Wake up to find I'm already 45 minutes late. Then my #2 guy sends text. He's "not feeling it". Building should have been unlocked already. I'm 1/2 hour away. Phone starts blowing up. Employees that can't get in....So....I'm late, sleepy AF, and have to do someone elses job(s) before I can start with mine.

    Friday.
