Ordered a gashole the other day so while it ships, I had a new fuel door painted at the body shop, picked up a new gas cap, spring, and screw since the tether and binge is broken on my current one

Found a few pics of my truck from January so I’ll just post 1, pre UCAs

Does anyone else turn the radio off and just drive? It’s so peaceful to listen to my truck drive down the highway at night!

The hum of the tires, the squeak of the leafs, the chirp of the uniballs, can all be pretty relaxing sometime.

Lots of things done on my extra long weekend (I got "sick" for a couple days after Memorial day if you know what I mean)

    IMG_0524.jpg

First off, I finally got my truck properly broke in

    123_1.jpg

Second, my friend's brother and I borrowed his boat to take it out for a spin

Installed my ATH bed stiffeners from @At The Helm, they went in great, came with all the hardware and instructions on how to put them in. It's amazing seeing how much the bed actually expands by putting these in. The only problem I have is that the "bed" (the black composite/fiberglass bullshit that is going around the corner of the tailgate) part going around the left side of the tailgate rubs on the bolts for the mount that the tailgate latches to. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I'm thinking its from the cargo strap I had on it, I cranked that bitch down good to bring the sides in and it was on there for a while so I'm thinking that the whole piece of metal it is mounted to bent in. I'm thinking that maybe I can get my rubber mallet out and try beating it in some to see if that helps but I'm open to any other remedies. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the bed stiffeners. Like I said, it's amazing seeing how much the bed expands and these brought it right back to where it needed to be

    20180601_002109.jpg

100k oil change and sample for Blackstone labs (first sample I've taken from the engine oil)

    20180601_002014.jpg

Installed a new "state of the art" battery tie-down system, a.k.a. a camouflage bungie cord from Harbor Frieght because the original one was more corrosion than metal (not exaggerating at all I wish I was lol) and it was causing the spot in front of the battery tray to rust so I'm gonna have to fix that. Gave the battery a few good shakes and I have faith that my high tech solution will be capable of handling daily driving

Also broke a bolt but that's no big deal at the moment

That's all for now hopefully a tonneau cover coming in the next week or two
