    With the stock airbox/intake, is everyone in here running the K&N filter that the supercharger came with? or are yall running the OEM dry engine filter? I'm hesitant to run the oiled K&N filter as I have read they can gunk up the MAF sensor over time

    I think most have an aftermarket intake. If running stock most run stock filter. I have heard the same about the oiled types. Our maf is very sensitive to oil contamination.

    Thanks man, that's what I thought as well. Going to avoid the K&N altogether. The stock filter is pretty much brand new as I just replaced it and will probably flow just fine until I get a new intake. Any thoughts on the URD TCAI? that's the one I've been considering

    That's what I am running. No problems here. I'm not sure I would use it if I was behind people in the desert a lot or crossing deep water. Other than that it's fine. I did get the deflector and outer sock.

    I'm running a K&N oiled with an Airflow snorkel. the oiled filter definitely helps out here in the Desert with dust, havent had any issues with the MAF. In fact, its been better with this current setup, as before, I used to throw codes constantly from the filter getting so dirty out on the trail. It even put the truck in Limp mode once while out wheeling. got back to camp and cleaned the filter, back to normal. I was running an AFE Stage 2 si (dry) pulling from the fender. After I switched to the snorkel and an oiled filter, it hasnt had any issues.

    Mines a dirty girl so take that into account.
    I have to clean my filter every time I go wheeling since I feel the power loss when the filter is clogged with dust.

    Dorkel is on my list of mods to help keep the dust from getting in some.

    With the stock airbox you've got that extra filter backing up the main filter so that might keep the K&N oil from getting to your MAF sensor. With my older Tundra which didn't have the extra filter, the oil contaminated the sensor within a few thousand miles and the truck wouldn't idle until I cleaned it up and replaced the filter.

    It's definitely noticeable going from hot to cold, but when you run the numbers in absolute T it only comes out to about a 4% difference.

    Crazy world - Got the BSChE and wished I'd done ME after the fact. Oil business was down when I graduated depressing the whole hiring situation. Ended up in general manufacturing engineering type work. Life is interesting.
