The truck is packed, my dog is in Norfolk, just waiting to get out of work before I start the longest drive of my life.

Oh man. What time do you get off? About what time will you be getting there? I really hope it doesn't go horribly.

Not sure when I'm getting cut loose, but with no traffic it will take about 5 1/2 hours to get to the hotel across the street from the diner we're meeting at.

If something goes south (and I’m hoping it doesn’t), a diner might not be a great place to be.
    Just saying from experience :anonymous:

Edit: But if things go well :fingerscrossed:, it’s probably a good great idea to have the hotel room across the street. ;)

Yea she's expecting me, but this could still go either way. I just hope I keep my head on straight during and after whatever the outcome is.

Yea the diner was probably not the best choice, but I'll take what I can get. And yea I factored the hotel across the street into the equation.

A small bouquet of flowers is always a nice gesture. Women like flowers and nice gestures. Good luck. That's a long way to drive to be kicked in the nuts, a second time. Tell her you would have been willing to drive farther to prove your willingness to make amends though.

Good luck. Hope it works out. :fingerscrossed:

Yea, loosing your cool if that is her intent will only give her the satisfaction.

I think since she accepted the offer though she might be open to what you have to say. I mean, I hope that's the case. Perhaps too, only move forward if she insists. Meaning, don't come off aggressive or needy. Play it cool like you're willing if she is but if not that's fine too.

Don’t do what I did many, many years ago when I was single.

I ordered two dozen bouquets of a dozen roses and had it delivered to her workplace every half hour.

Note that she’s a very quiet, reserved kinda girl. So, she was pissed that I embarrassed her with all her coworkers around to see the, in her words, “freakn’ flower circus in a research lab.”

To this day, we’re happily married.

Just trying to give the youngsters here a glimmer of hope that you can find a great partner in life.

If a knucklehead like me can find a great gal, then any of these boys can do the same.

Windows are finally going to get some tint! Have an appointment scheduled for Monday at 2:00pm. Just going to match the darkness of the rear windows, so around 35%
