Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Man the tune is sounding awesome....I’m still waiting for a Reg file :-(....but Can’t wait to get the tune loaded!

G'day all.

I finally rolled over and purchased a new 2018 DCSB Auto TRD OR. Was pretty religious following this thread while still owning a second gen but kinda fell behind while making my mind up for a 3rd gen.

Is the OV Tune equipment available for the auto NA 2018's?

 

All 3GTacoma's are NA. From factory. Just fyi

What ecu version do you have? I have 285/70/17 trail grapplers, and my truck won’t hold gears at all and I’m getting about 2 mpg worse than stock. I dont care about mpg, but I’m just wondering why my truck isn’t replicating what others are experiencing. Theres definitely an increase in power, just the gear holding I was kinda disappointed about. Thanks!

 

us third gen owners need more performance mods. :-(

 

Someone told me Magnuson has a finished supercharger sitting on a shelf but they think the truck can't be tuned.

I haven't driven enough to notice any gains on MPG but, like you, not so concerned. I only got 20 miles out of the tune so far, but am happy with what Matt has done.. I'll drive it some more later tonight after work and will report back if my perception about the gears change

 

Dang that sucks. Me and a buddy have been bugging them for quite some time and they respond and we are definitely on their radar. I think we might be able to reach out to them if thats the case. Never know.. they just might send ya an email

You have reached out directly haven't you? That combined with all the people here that have probably begged for it and also told them there is a tune available should give them the hint.....

Any news about jthe turbo setup? Did they run into any issues with the atkinscycle+boost?

 

Following this thread closely. I was really on the fence about getting a 2018 TRD OR Tacoma (which I'd be trading in my 07 FJ for) with all the talk about the poor performance, but this gives me some hope.
