Ya I dont think I've ever seen pumping surf in the summer for the east coast. It's always winter when you get the swells and dudes are out in full suits with boots, hoodies, and gloves haha

I usually can handle boat rides .. but last time I was on that ferry I about lost a months worth of food... I think it was a speed boat I was almost looking up at the sky and it was real windy and waters were choppy

I'm actually not sure why they have a fire department on dewees island...they are instructed not to go in to a house and to just let it burn.. (was told that the people who live there have so much insurance that they actually make money if one Burns)

Where should I go for anniversary trip? Went to Atlanta first year, Outer Banks 2nd year, Dirty Myrtle last year (sister has beach house so... free). Wanted Key West this year but too much to fly in....too long of a drive (been there done that)...not worth flying into Miami and driving another 5-6 hrs to KW. Clueless where to go. Wife just wants somewhere with sunny beaches.

Just because it was talked about not too long ago in this thread, you should consider St. Augustine. Such a cool little area with a lot of history and nice beaches.

Ever been to the gulf coast? Panama city/Destin/Penscola? We've been to Destin several times and love it there. Plenty of sunny beaches, plus your not far from other things if you get too waterlogged or too much Sun. The Pensacola Naval base also has a free museum worth checking out.

Holy shit. This contractor's stupidity strikes again. I'm trying to align project document file locations to be exactly the same format as all 3 other projects in this program. He currently has the file path in some stupid fucking location that makes no sense to anyone trying to access it. I make the new, proper file path and location for them and he's trying to fight me on this saying it's going to cause too much confusion. I'm like you fucking idiot, it doesn't make ANY FUCKING SENSE to where they are at now. If we get our project audited and they go to find the files and documents, they're going to have no fucking clue where to look because he doesn't want to fucking listen. Holy shit I hate people.

I grew up in Panama City.....actually Mexico Beach....if you really want a hidden gem go to Mexico Beach, FL for beautiful beaches that are not crowded and a small town fishing town feel. All others are loaded with tourists and ridic prices.

I’ll have to check this out! Thanks Dan0

Haha that’s funny, been looking at Destin online. This might be the place if the wife is in favor of a 8 hour trip.

Didn’t think about Tybee, heard a lot about it tho

    Thanks guys

Tybee is a cool little spot to but can get really crowded (like any tourist spot I guess). @rogs6266 lived down the road from Tybee so he’d be the one for all the local dives to get away from the tourist traps.

Eat at The Flying Fish if you go down there. The Angry Shrimp (or Mikes Buffalo Shrimp) for a starter and the Harbor Master Sandwich for lunch...
