Yeah its my dads old truck. Mostly a weekend warrior and garage kept during the week. Daily driven for 14 years so it earned it. 196000ish on the clock. I doubt it will see 200k at the rate we drive it.

From far away, yes I would agree. Get up close and you'd see the paint is suffering. Also that is the "good" side. The other side was in a wreck near the tail light before we got it and the paint they used is fading pretty badly as well as body putty starting to crack due to moisture getting under it. We wanna get it re sprayed but that costs money...

    sure, much better than rubber.

doesn't mean it won't wallow out with use and abuse.

When I notice they are starting to go bad.

I need to change out my uniballs... They easily have over 100k on them. PO got the truck at 169k and never changed em and it's at 265k now. I got a long ass list of preventative maintenance I want/need to do

this driveshaft double cardan joint stuff is ahaoihsdfa;oijasd;fj.

I can't believe this! Ive replaced the frame, and just paid for the full timing belt routine and now I am being told I shouldn't use my truck to move without shelling out for a new driveshaft!

im so frustrated rn. I have 6 weeks to sort this out.

I know a quick solution... call Tom Woods and have a one piece made. If your truck is pretty stock they'll already have the measurements.

No other junk yard around? Maybe check Craigslist and see if anyone is selling a truck as a part out or maybe with a blow head gasket and try to take that one

You can get the parts for the double cardan joint, just need to dig for them a bit.

Yeah if you have the inside clip style, I can imagine that would be a pain in the ass. The outside clips aren’t so bad.
