Yup.
When i started working, there were still a few untreated Chestnut poles around. Those birds loved nesting in them.

 

Lol! Yeah it was loud! Sounded like a Tommy Gun with its beak hitting that small sign! That’s the last wooden pole on that line, the rest are what looks to be a galvanized type steel. They’ve been changing them out over the last few years.

 

My boss sends me this picture (our backhoe being hauled away to the auction winner) with a "woo-hoo"....then texts me because the driver can't get the boom down. So I get there, the swing lock pin is only partially in and when you try to lift the boom lock it hits the swing lock....soooo, line up the swing lock, pull the pin, unlock the boom and lay the bucket on the gooseneck, talk shit, go home.

I guess the driver even asked one of our LEOs if he could go down the highway with the boom up. "Is it under 14'?" He said he didn't know...I don't know what it was either but can tell you it's over 14'!

 

Doing good Bill. how about you. how was the vacation. we keep gettin T-storms and nobody is cuttin. need a day or two to let it dry to bale it

 

Evening All. mowed yard and a T-storm is brewing. grilled boneless chix thighs for supper. have a good nite

Lawn mowed and clean up the yard, ate some pizza, and I’m beat.

 

Rain beat me again today. No mowing. I'll probably have to run up to the farm and borrow a bush hog.

Not much going on today but a little while met up with a Vietnam era Navy Seal . Was cool listening to some of the stories he told of during the Vietnam war . Made my time in the Military seem like a cake walk compared to what he's done
