I just recently installed 5100’s on the front end of my 3rd gen. I set them on the third notch which is 1.1” of lift but somehow gained 2” and now I’m 1” higher in the front than the back. Does that normally happen or am I missing something here?

Did you get the second gen 5100s? Are you using your stock coils?

Edit: Looks like the second gen 5100s provide 1.75” of lift on second notch. Also, new coils could lift more l, or wait for the suspension to settle out a bit. Take it around town, hit a few speed bumps kind of hard.

Maybe it’s not the second perch, but the 3rd or 4th, they counted from the wrong side? I don’t know anything is possible.

I’m not sure which generation I got but mine are on the second notch, one above stock and its pretty level. Sometimes front looks higher depending on ground. I have stock coils and 5100 just in front.

How long have you had them installed? If it was recently I would give a few weeks to a month to allow it to settle.

The 3rd gen 5100s have 5 notches and I have them set on the one in the middle. I just got through installing them a few hours ago. I’m expecting some settling but I don’t think they would settle an inch.

It’s gonna depends on how you drive it. If it’s all street and no off-road then they’ll settle but not as much if oh use it for trails and they take more a beating

I’ll take your word for it. I guess if they don’t I’ll just get new leafs or something to raise the rear an inch.

Yes it is. The bottom of the spring lines up perfectly with the ramp on the spring seat.

That... ^^^ Get some progressive AALs from @HeadStrong Off-Road will give you a little lift and stiffen up that ride a little. While yer there get the 5100s for the rear. Oh and then you need to re-adjust & level the fronts so may as well get new springs up there too.

The Sport suspension really is a dog bro, just sayin.

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
A less expensive option: Leave the front as is (I did the same exact thing as you) and just put a single Deaver leaf and a set of 5100’s in back, and keep the overload leaf in. @HeadStrong Off-Road recommended this for mine and I couldnt be happier with it. Overall lift was 1.5” front and back after it all settled.
