Havent updated this in awhile, but the cage is coming along, and i have the atlas case mounted

 

Beautiful swap. I have a matching 99 4runner on 35s with no engine in it, have a 5.3 being rebuilt in the garage. Lots of golden info in here for me. Questions...lol. How did you mount the engine? Do you think a 4l80 would fit? How did you run your driver side header? How did you clear the oil pan with a diff up front? Im sorry for the barrage man, but this is identical to my rig. LOVE IT!

 

Sorry for the very late reply, i havent been on here in awhile lol. I ran the driver header forward and around the front of the engine. Custom built motor mounts, i think you could fit a 4l80 with a little massaging to the tunnel. I fit a 400 with no issues and it has a 6 speed in it now and it fits fine. And I ran a front sump canton racing oil pan.

 

Alright so a little update since i forgot about this thread lol

Cage is done and welded in. The Driver seat lowered almost 2 inches from building a crazy mount, the atlas mount is all done, the floor is all welded back together and sealed. Have to mount the seat belts, install carpet, mount my handbrake, finish front driveshafts, and a few other small things. I have a 9" rear diff being built right now. Once i get it back ill build my rear end.

 

And then the next step is more power got another LS engine that im going to build up outside of the truck then swap them out when im ready
