The camper looks good. How much weight are you towing? Any interior camper pics? I’m glad to see we don’t need to settle for a pop up style.

    Nice rig

Thank you sir! Trailer is 3,800lbs unloaded, I haven’t weighed it but would guess like 4,400 or so loaded up. I’ve attached a couple interior pics. Has a bunk (2 full beds), couch that folds into a bed and table that folds into a bed, full kitchen and bathroom with kids bathtub.

How does your truck do towing it? Is it all you want or does it handle the load fairly well?

I used to bitch and moan about it towing and told my wife every time I needed a bigger truck...until I simply increased my rear tire pressure. It honestly handles it pretty well. It downshifts quite a bit on inclines but that’s expected with a low power/torque truck. Used it last weekend for a 300 mile round trip camping adventure and it did awesome. Averaged around 9.2mpg.

I understand exactly what you mean. I looked at the Tundra, but just couldn’t justify the cost + fuel mileage. The Tacoma is great all around truck.

Thanks for the info. I’ll need to figure out if I need to rent or buy the pull behind.

Yes, Gentex is available. I had it installed in mine at delivery. Got a family discount on price - $264 +$130 dealer labor to install. Out the door with taxes, shop supplies, etc. was $425.. Works great.

I’ll check into it. Does the Toyota parts guy on TW sell these? Maybe he’ll price one for me. Toyota gave me a 30% off accessories coupon when I bought the truck.

Looks great! Did you go with “regular” or “off-road” size?

    a few...
After installing 1.04 91oct OV Tune yesterday morning I love what Mat has done to make our trucks properly drive able & fun to drive. I only drove about 20 stop & go miles but a smile was on my face the whole way. The truck idles so smoothly, acceleration is awesome, power is ready & waiting when needed and no more gear hunting. I’ll right a proper review once I get some miles on the tune in the review thread.

    Thank you @OVTune Mat
