The LED Matrix on my Grad Cap is powered by an Arduino based chip loaded with some code I adapted in C++.

Took me forever to figure it out. I’m great at hardware, but when it comes to software I’m just not that good.

Here was my grad cap if anyone has hasn’t seen it yet, I’m sure I’ve posted it here before. It was a huge hit at graduation. First image is Interstellar, second one is from Die Hard.

Any fans of Top Gear? That’s the Toyota Hilux they set on fire.

I had to put this somewhere.

I learned some basics of C to mess with Arduinos so I could make a CRT wristwatch. Things around here somewhere. Have some Nixie junk too that uses and Arduino for a necklace. Couldn't find a gal that would let me put a 250v dc-dc converter around her neck though.

Who does PC Gaming here? Here's my rig.

It's outdated by today's standards, but still performs decently. I built it during the tail end of 2013.

    i7 4790k @ 4.7GHz
Nvidia GTX 980 SSC ACX 2.0
    32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866MHz
    512GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD
    1TB WD Black HDD
    Asus z97 Deluxe Motherboard
Corsair AX760 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU
    CableMod Red/Black Sleeved Cables
    Lamptron Nixie Tube Fan Controller
Cooler Master v8 GTS CPU Cooler
    NZXT Phantom 530 ATX Case

Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 w/ Cherry MX Blue
    Logitech G602 Wireless Mouse

Graphic Card values have shot up in the past couple years from the resurgence of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency mining, so it hasn't been worthwhile at all to change out my GPU.

You gotta go full retard and do a Nixie tube watch like Steve Wozniac's.

Mmmm. I love the taste of high voltage in the morning.

All my friends are rocking 1060's and 1080's with brand new Intel Skylake chips and I'm still stuck in the old generation. Tech moves very very fast.

I had a friend who worked for Corsair, their old distribution hub was a 5 minute drive from my house. He gave me his employee discount so I got all my Corsair stuff at 60-70% off. I think I only ended up paying $250 or so for that 32GB kit of Corsair Dominator Platinum with the light bar upgrades, while it was retailing for almost $600 at the time.
