[IMG] [IMG] Ok, I’ve been lurking quite a while learning all I can while jonesing for a newer truck.
My 2000 Dakota had seen better days and started costing me $ recently.
I had made the mistake this spring of test driving a Limited at the auto show.

Found this lease trade in 2016 Tacoma with 21,000 miles on it while getting the oil changed on my wife’s CRV at the Honda dealer. Test drove it and looked it over good, really liked it and ended up making a deal.

Been driving it for a week now and very impressed. Towed my 6x10 enclosed trailer to the racetrack last weekend for a motorcycle track day. ECT power on and sport mode and it towed better than my old V8 Dakota which surprised me.

Going to tint the front windows, add a bed extender and a bed step, not going to go too crazy since I’m not an off reader.
I did order some AJT Designs key fobs though.
Truck already has a bed mat, exhaust tip, sill protectors, predator steps and hood graphic.

You know Ima dreamer, and my heart’s offroad. I had to drive away high, so I didn’t get stuck low. Home Sweet Home...
    Nice new wagon!

I too traded in my old 2000 Dakota, V6 Magnum. It was the Dodge Dopleganger for my Taco, but only 2wd.

I am curious, what maintenance made you decide to get a new one, @Trackday17 ? I was feeling and hearing things in my old Dakota that raised flags and set off my silent maintenance budget alarms ;-) Luckily, got her traded before dropping any serious cash on repairs.

New tires, rebuilt the front brakes, rear brakes needed the same, was probably going to need a new water pump and hoses and all that soon too.
Electric door locks were acting up too.

Wife said it was time so who am I to disagree !

Just got the front windows tinted to match the back this morning.

Mods: Is this still a Tacoma?
Beautiful truck man. Welcome to TW but as mentioned...there is an unknown formula here where time spent on TW is directly proportional to amount spent on mods. It’s nearly impossible to lurk around these forums and not get inspired to start spending so slowly step away from the internet and hide your wallet...give it to your significant other and don’t look back or else you’ll be spending and not looking back lol!
