So the buckle is just held on by Velcro? That makes it easy. I have seen the smaller cobra buckles that are supposed to fit through loops, but if it is that easy then I may consider going that route.

Yeah one side is usually fixed in place, but the other side is adjustable and removable

I was looking at the blue alpha hybrid so I wouldn't have to remove the buckle

Honestly, Im kinda a name wh***. I first saw the ranger belts on the magpul dvds with Haley and Costa. Had to have it then for the reasons that tou want a stiff sturdy belt.
I went with the Aegis when it came out because of its less than tactical looks while it still had the very stiff support that I liked. I really didnt know there were so many other brands until later in the game, but they mostly all have the cobra buckle.

I've been carrying with a Wilderness Frequent Flyer belt for almost a decade. I like it.

Kore Essentials makes an interesting looking belt. They use the same style buckle/adjustment as mission belts (kinda like a zip tie) but a whole lot stiffer.

Aight, what's the difference between these and a standard belt? My pants still stay up and my belt was $16.

Less readjustment when you’re carrying a pistol all day

I started wearing these gun belts as a cop as my under belt in uniform as the stiffness was great for helping support a duty belt

Now I’m just accustomed to them and they last forever

Think of the difference between Glock 19 and Springfield TRP OPERATOR.

    Both are guns
    But the feel is everything.

Hmm. That's a little more of a legit use. If they're worth all the hype it may just be easier to wear one instead of a Sam Browne. Maybe if you're allowed an outer carrier to get some crap off your belt
