It's teachers union more higher grades equals more pay. So the elevate the gradesvto make them look like a better teacher. When actually they are making dumber students. Friend was a teacher around here till they passed that in the union.

The whole high school education system really started to bug me throughout my senior year. Not sure what it was exactly, probably just the fact that I would finish stuff early and pretty much get yelled at if I did something other than schoolwork. (for example, I would play a game on my phone, which obviously isn't the greatest thing to do with my time, but I couldn't help it cause I had finished the week's work in all my classes and was tired of sitting at my desk and reading the signs and stuff around the room for the hundredth time)

When I work patrol, if I ever want to write tickets (rare, but it happens) I don't even hide. I park in a spot to be as visible as possible and watch for phones. If you are so enveloped in that phone conversation that you miss the obvious black and white crown vic, you get the ticket lol

Before I retired I was over Vehicle maint for APD. The officers used to crack me up with all the stories of :censored: drivers. It was always amazing to me how many people would blow through a school zone every day. Idiots.

Yeah, I still can't understand how people can be so book smart yet lack commonsense. Just shows you that having a fancy degree doesn't equal intelligence. These are the people that are just good at memorizing shit but lack critical thinking skills.

To add to this... dealers who know they have the monopoly in the programming arena that they charge $500 For a reprogram when the battery does die. All you have to do is hook it to a computer for 30 seconds... can you REALLY justify that price?! (My gf sister's Chrysler 200)

And $100 to program the actual key in my Honda...

    Go gators?!

Exactly, there’s someone in my class that got a $20,000 Mercedes as a first car. She totaled it and her parents bought her a 2014 Ford Focus the next week. She also talks about how she wishes she would’ve gotten a 4Runner and constantly talks about how she doesn’t know how she’s gonna pay for college. (Her family doesn’t have as much money as they like to show people with their big house and nice cars).

Sounds like a friend of mine... his parents took out a 2nd mortgage to buy him his dream car for graduation... brand new BMW M5... then when he totals it weeks later he gets pissed when they replace it with "only" an older Mustang. (Circa 2004... was like a 1999 GT)

THAT really ground my gears seeing how I was driving an Escort ZX2 I was paying on at the time.

I was the redheaded step child so after I moved across the country 2 days following highschool graduation I bought my corolla for 900 bucks. I don't blame my Dad for not giving me a handout, and I'm glad I had to work for everything I've got. My 4 step siblings on the other hand... My freshly graduated youngest who tore the family apart with drugs just got a brand new car, the rest of them all have camaros they cant afford insurance for so my parents pay for it. My dad and step mother arent made of money, my dad doesnt even have a car and shovels his extra money towards their stupidity. One of them has a bachelors that she doesnt use; she works at a department store and lives in a house that was given to them by her husbands parents and she constantly complains about how she doesnt have money. Meanwhile my health issues keep me from making enough money to go to college so I became the fuckup. *sigh* Everyone from my school whos parents got them nice cars have mostly already wrecked them lol

Ugh this is the worst. I intentionally leave about 3 feet in front of me in any line, expecting the person behind me to do the same. Somewhat often, I will intentionally turn quickly and/or step back on them just to get them the hell away from me.
