I appreciate all the kind comments. This is a good group despite a few random bad posts. I should know next week what the insurance will do. Already miss my Tacoma. :(

Glad to hear everyone is ok.

But Man that front end is destroyed but then not even a wheel fender broke off. One of the reasons I love the boxy front end of the 3rd gen, feels indestructible.

I ended up getting a Toyota from someone who didn't know its worth (and neither did I at the time) as my first (and current) vehicle. I've had my 9th gen corolla for 2 years now, and I grew to like it more and more as I drove it. What really ended up selling me on Toyota was getting rear ended by a GMC suv followed by a Jeep that was going about 40 mph. I was certain my trunk would be all crumpled, so I hopped out and all I had was a little flex in the plastics over the bumper, and a nice dust imprint of the GMC's license plate. After that I convinced my husband to get a Tacoma vs an F150, thank god lol.
We should have been checked out though. We were lucky we were okay, I had a headache for days and my husband's neck hurt for a week or two after. I hope that's the same case with her; be sure to keep an eye out!

No the air bag did not deploy. Must not have hit all the requirements for the computer to trigger it.

That’s what insurance is for, cant replace your daughter, glad she is ok. The more I see the more content I feel about how safe this truck really is...

    Time for a 2018!

    Glad the kiddo is ok.

Kinda surprised with that amount of damage that no air bags were triggered.

It’s a very smart system, you should be surprised if she had any injuries and it didn’t go off...once airbags go off, the car is guaranteed totalled. If no air bags went off you better bet she walked away unscratched!

The F-150 is probably the safest truck though so he could not go wrong either way.
