They're not as dim as they look in the pictures. There are 2 pictures that I posted on the original post, one of them has the light bar turned on, and in order to not have the light bar blow out the camera, I turned down the exposure a little bit on the camera. The other picture shows the lights a little better, I think they are a good brightness level. I'll post another pic of them in the dark tonight or tomorrow.

I did a very similar install of mine, except I mounted them all on a thin piece of aluminum and then attached that to the grill supports. A little more involved, but super happy with the results. I have had mine on for 6 months now. I used 3/4” diameter Amber lights from superbrightleds.com and they awesome!D15B59F5-8E94-4639-BE07-30FD99156B9F.jpg E46E738A-243C-4E40-8AA1-A2745C5FF5C1.jpg

Put these together using the lights the OP suggested. Bought a piece of 1” aluminum angle and made a bracket to mount the lights to, then mounted that to the under side of the grill support. I tapped into the headlight side marker for power. I soldered/heat shrinked everything and even used a nice set of 9006 style connectors I had laying around to make a quick disconnect when I need to take the grill off. Probably all in about $25-$30, but I have enough material left over to make a whole second set. I’m pretty happy with how it came out.

Can you send how to tap into the headlight side marker for power? I was going to do this mod soon but like the sound of this connection better. Never done any electrical mods before.

Sub'd Thanks for putting everything together. Going to run the lights on my roof rack crossbar so I can see kayak tie down straps at night.

There are two wires that go to the side marker bulb, one is ground and one is power. You just tap your raptor light wires into them using connectors like this. There is no need to run a separate wire into your fuse box with its own fuse to power three LED lights that draw virtually no power, this method is perfectly acceptable.

So tap the black wire to the purple side marker wire. What about the white wire? Should I tap the white wire into the wire next to the purple or do I add a terminal ring to the white wire and ground it to the side of the truck?

Either will work. I tapped into both wires.

just tried this and failed. The add a circuit doesnt work since the tacoma uses like super mini fuses or something. Their not normal minis that would fit in the add a circuit. I also used different lights that didnt have a ground wire and maybe that was an issue. idk but i wasted 3 hrs.

The lights didn't have a ground wire? No light is going to work without being grounded.

I got the Amazon ones and can vouch for them having 2 wires.
