Well I tried to twist the bottom mine into place. I didn't crank on it but it didn't seem to want to move at all. I took it back out of the top and installed it with the bottom aligned with the lower control arm. It went in with out twisting the lower end of the shock. The bottom end of the coil goes towards the rear.

Where is everyone getting their 887/5100 combos, preferably assembled, and how much are you paying?

It was about $600.00 for both from Wheelers. Shipping, with the rear shocks and progressive add a leaf and the coilover assemblys cost another 100 bill.

How many inches would 887 yield? I have a 2017 tacoma sport 4x2. Trying to decide on 887 or 885.

Noob here, would I be fine with this? I have an 18 TRD OR 4x4. Or should I get shocks for the rear too?

You have assembly and shipping and the parts for the new coil over mounts, unless Ya use the ole ones, but it looks about right. Not sure who you are ordering from and the support they offer. Wheeler's or Headstrong would be my recommendation if you are asking. Plus I would suggest a 1/4" or 3/8" spacer on the drivers side...Thanks Dan!

So if I use wheelers, I should pay the 100 and have them assemble it?

Also I heard the new 5100s got rid of the driver lean? What lift do you have?

I had Wheelers assemble mine. They use new hardware for the assembly. I would pay to have them pre assembled, if you are asking me. I put a 3/8" polyurethane top plate spacer on the driver side, like Dan suggested, and both sides are the same height now. I have the OME 2887 front coil springs with Bilstein 5100 shocks on the lowest setting. This set up lifted my DCSB 4x4 TRD Sport about 2 1/4" on passenger side and 2 3/4" on drivers side. Also the 3 leaf add a leaf was $160 ,w/UBolt set, from Wheelers. I don't know how it "stacks up, lol" against the Icon you have in your cart.

I think you need new rear shocks also.
