Sounds like a fun trip.

I want to get a Boonedox T-Bone bed extender and a new fishing yak as soon as I quit spending money on my truck mods, lol.

 

We'll find out in 5000 miles. I put the skid on after changing the oil.

I thought about an extender but my kayak is only 10' so it only hangs off like 3' and most of my little trips are only a few miles to some different waters.

 

I do the same, just picked up a 10 ft the other day.

They are indeed LED, I think it's just because of the el-cheapo LED's that I put in there. Noticed it the same way with the camera haha

 

The Darby Bed Extender is probably the best investment I've made for my truck. When hauling kayaks, canoes or lumber it can't be beat. Excellent value for a small price. Personally I wouldn't be without one having a 5' bed.

Did couple of things today. Added a swivel winch license plate mount to the front of the bumper (damn cali laws) and a grab handle to the driver side.

Man, I really want to try them out -- the full size on the 3500 chassis is ROUGH on the roads up here.

Realistically it's not like I'm moving around much during transport so I feel like we have a ton of wasted space otherwise.
