I don't. It's half trophy, half truck! Come to think of it, Manny is worthy of a trophy truck!

lol. I'm really lovin this thing but what's there not to love about a new vehicle? Everyone has their own needs and fortunately my FJ works out perfectly for me. My wife loves driving it which is a big plus (she hated my Tacoma bc "it was too big") it gets better mpg's, it rides nice, and it's not all scratched and squeaky. There's much more to it and it all depends on your lifestyle and needs.

I told my wife the same thing. My slider mounting plates are still welded onto the frame, with a little bit of slider coming out of them. Lol. I spray painted the visible part f the frame black to help it all blend in. I traded it in at 10pm so they couldn't really tell. There's about 6 holes in the dash area. 6 more holes in the bed. Fender flares won't stay down despite buying new clips. Squeaky leaf springs. Chipped rear window glass. And a shit ton of abuse.

No one buy a mag grey taco in orange, ca. :p

haha, i kinda did the same thing when i traded in my s-10 for my tacoma. the trans was failing and you could only tell after driving the truck for like 10 min. the shifting started to skip and the truck jolted like crazy. so the guy took it for a quick spin to make sure it ran "ok" he cam back and said it was a great little truck. i said yeah, nothing wront w/ it.

    hahaha, we win. :D

Do you miss the overhead console or center console storage/cubholders, 2nd power outlet from your taco?

Well the FJ has all that. It has the temperature gauge + compasss + an inclinometer, all on the dash which is really sweet cuz your constantly paying attention to it. Not to say that I never paid attention to the overhead console in the taco, but it was up above you where it could easily be ignored.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/southern-california/87675-2wd-vehicles-suck.html

The FJ also has the cubby in the center but without a lid which is the only drawback. The great thing is that the passenger and driver dont share the center console as an armrest. Each seat has its own armrest apart from the center storage area.

The FJ also has the power outlet in the rear.

    Comparitively Speaking:

    Pros
-FJ is more roomy, front and rear. My occasional passengers enjoy my backseat more than my Taco, and I definitely love the xtra room in the drivers seat.
    -Tons of storage room.
-Rear seats fold down and provide a crap load of room for hauling bigger things
-The FJ has speakers in the roof above your head!!! Just found this out this week!
    -Drives really smooth
-Bunch of little things like the inclinometer, matching interior panels, armrests, rear parking sensors in bumper, easy to clean interior [not much carpet], water resistant seats, seats can be adjusted to go higher or lower
-Offroaders: no leaf springs and shorter wheel base
    -All disk brakes

    Cons
-No bed, big deal for lots of people.
-Lower towing capacity [i think max is 5.5k]
    -Slower acceleration IMO.
    -No rear windows
-Some FJ owners have reported an easy-to-crack front windshield

Great points. I have an 09 Access Cab with a pre-09 backseat. It seems as though there are more storage areas in the taco. The power outlet I was talking about is the cig lighter up front, the taco has 2 which I tend to use on long trips. FJ only has 1. The bed is a big deal for me coming from two other toyota trucks in the past. How are you doing with the blind spots and small mirrors...sorry to highjack this thread talking about your FJ. I'm really having a tough time with the decision to trade over to an FJ. There is one local which has just about everything I want. What did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking.

How much of an increase are you seeing in MPG?

!oh and the guage cluster on the dash...precisely why some taco owners have put one on their dash!

The FJ weighs in at approx 4300lbs and has the 1GRE engine as well so its still getting 17/22MPG like the Taco, but I do see the difference with the absence of my 33" Muds.

The Blind spots...not really sure what people are talking about with this. The vehicle has no issues with blind spots. I think the Tacoma is worse but maybe thats just because Im only 5'6". I had to use "blind spot mirrors" on my tacoma and dont really intend to purchase some for the FJ, visibility is fine.

MSRP on mine was 33k and I paid 28.1k + tax & License.

If you use your bed alot Id probably suggest keeping the tacoma.

In the short yr I had my Tacoma my bed was used to

-Haul tires (5 tires can be fit inside the FJ without any problems)
-Haul Camping stuff (can be done in the FJ)
-Pick up a X-mas Tree (Im gonna use my roof rack this year)
-Haul Snow Gear for 5 People (Gear will go inside, and boards will go up top)

The FJ works for me but I know alot of people use their trucks as trucks much more often, and Id probably recommend staying in the truck at that point.

JDKeller for example, hauls all his makeup, tampons, dresses, different kinds of midol, and occasionally his boyfriend comes along for the ride.:p

Dont confuse me with your pops. Your parents wanted a girl. Instead they got you. Thats why they used to dress you up as a girl. That explains the pink Fj and the sugar in your tank.

Ok test drove another FJ today. Damn this thing is so tempting! Took it on the FWY for a short bit. I can see that adding small fisheye mirrors to the side mirrors to solve the blind spot problem would work for me.

Ok back to your previously scheduled show.

Lol. There's no show. The FJ is the only show now so talking about it is strongly encouraged here. So what did/didn't you like about it? Which model/pkg/accesories are you looking at?
