Just a bunch of old crap
Just download any map tiles at home through Earthmate when you're on wifi and you won't have to worry about using a single byte of cell data. The tiles store on your phone (you can choose between your SD card external storage or your phone's internal storage). Once downloaded, put your phone in airplane mode to test the offline maps just to be 100% sure you have the coverage you need. I have a 128GB card in my Samsung phone, so I download up to full satellite imagery so I can look at the area up close when I'm in the middle of nowhere, or switch over to topo maps if I go off-trail and need to look at elevation lines.

*Note - if you're downloading offline maps via Mapsource for a very large area, you'll likely have to download a few sessions of tiles. It only allows you to download a certain square mileage at a time.

Yep, plus they came up with that non required saftey rule, which means if it's a safety enhancing device I don't need an STC to mount it to the panel as long as the devise can be removed from the mount quickly.

X2 thanks for the tip as well. Also got one 6-8' pole for now. Cant wait to experiment with rigging this off my Thule rack, lots of good tips on YouTube using Prussic knots and rope to have the corner not need to be right on the rack, and tensioning the tarp over the rope. Need a spool of reflective guyline. I've only used smaller noahs for minimalist backpacking in the past, excited to try configurations with this bigboy.

Not yet, but I’m going there in 2 months. I do know they have one campground with over 100 sites and another with 25 or so. They also have some primitive sites, which is what m interested in, that are first come, first served. When are you planning to go?

    Kelty Noah 16 tarp with (2) 8 ft & (2) 6 ft poles.
It is a bit floppy with 4 poles. It seems to be designed to have the 2 sides down.
It is huge. The diagonal is almost 23 ft long. The table is 2x4 ft.

Uh, sorry. It is the Kelty Noah 16 that we were suggested to buy.

I got one too. Mine looks darker. I've ordered the waterproofing spray too. Even did some sketches of how it will be used with my new shell. Comparison with the 12' I already have.

It was really sunny today. maybe that is why it seems bright.
Mine was dry a few minutes after it rained.
