    AZ= hot as f=_k but sweat evaporates.
    TX= hot as f=_k sweat doesnt evaporate and that's only 50% humidity.

    Anyone made their own shroud and mounted dual fans?

    If so is there a way to program them to the computer with relays?

    I come from a GM truck background (this is my first non-GM in 18 years) and when we would run dual fans that could be programmed using HP Tuners to turn them on and off at certain settings or parameters... Anyone know or ever use HPT on a tacoma?

    These fan shrouds were CNC'd and had the relays installed on the shroud itself... Would this be worth doing again with tacomas? or overkill?

    Took some pics of the FJ shroud on the radiator seems like a worth while mod as well for any one making the swap at this point. Huge Thanks to Roostfactor again for making this possible and also Loginfailed for figuring out the FJ shroud. Any way few pics..

    I also have a fully built 5th gen 4runner that I have been really harsh on as well. It has zero room under the hood due to dual batteries, compressor, custom built windshield wiper reservoir tank, fuse box, winch control box, cut off etc... Any way I have had this sucker Hot as Hell a few times since there are no real alternatives for cooling I took a different approach. From the factory the radiator fan blows air to the back of the fire wall and it blows out the bottom as the hood is sealed to the top of the fire wall like all toyotas.. This setup works well from the factory but fill the engine bay up and add larger skids under neath and less frontal area and it doesn't work so well.. Since less air can move under the hood there is lot of excess heat so I went the next available route. Obviously hot air rises so no reason to try and push it down so I thought why not vent it from the top. Any way took a quick look at vents and I realized the late model D-110 fender vents would fit perfectly. So I cut the hood out between the back supports and added the vents. Just sitting in traffic I can see a ton of heat escaping from the vents. My ir digital thermometer generally records 30+ degree difference from the exit of the vents to the hood skin. While this is obviously not a Tacoma it has added some relief so I just thought I would throw it out there as a possible alternative.. Pics of vents

    30 min drive ac full blast 90 degrees outside and hit a lot of stop n go traffic. Temps held strong 190 or lower.

    Since we dont have electric fans stock, as far as I know there is no ecu control for electric fans.
    I do like the idea though and it's something I'm possibly working on since electric fans work so much better at idle and low rpm to keep things cool.

    Fabbing up the fans and shrouds are the easy part.... Getting them to work is the tricky part I guess. I’ll have to think on that when it’s not 130am later on.

    There are a few pwm fan controllers on the market now. Derale has one, Autocoolguy, and DC Controls.
    If I go the electric fan route that's what I will go with. The controller auto adjusts fan speed with temp.
