    Hello,

I am new to the site but I have a 2018 Tacoma. I hit my side view mirror everything seems to be fine on my driver side but the plastic at the very bottom of the mirror is not lining up correctly. The plastic is not broken just needs to be lined up correctly again. How would I do this? If anybody could help I appreciate it.

Look up the ultimate turn signal mod by mesojdm, just search “ultimate turn signal” and follow the thread, there is a link to a video on how to remove the plastic mirror pieces. You should be able to get in to it that way and get the problem solved. I recall it says to put a plastic bag over the mirror as you remove it, make sure you do that or it will fly off and get scratched up.

Thank you for that. It seems what part that is off is the plastic below the mirror the black cap underneath the mirror and the mirror cap. Would that be the same process of just pulling the clips off? I do appreciate all your help.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

I’m not 100% sure, but you could definitely get that color matched section off. When you are able to get a look inside, I’m sure getting to where you need to go will be easier. It sounds like you may have popped a clip with the impact so taking it apart will help you get the clips lined up and put back where they belong. There are a lot of people on here all the time, so if you take it apart and you’re stuck, try posting a couple of good pictures and someone can definitely jump in to assist.
