That sounds like it f'n hurt. Fortunately I haven't gotten that complacent, but if he was going down that explains a lot. When I work alone I take things a little slower and when I work with another person on any of my projects I kinda take the lead, watch, listen for a change in speech patterns, push water before things get bad, take shade breaks, catch some ac/fan/ push more cold water...that's a serious injury on top of what was into a serious heat injury.

One really good thing about working in a temperate area is we all do carry ice chests full of ice and water. I like to retain some of the melted ice water in the ice chest and add more ice and bottles on top so I have cold water I can dunk a hand into or open the drain valve to soak a cloth or wash hands with. Not something most people in "normal" climates really think about.

I meant to say good evening earlier but had to put my phone on the charger, so....good evening.

Yup. Monday is going to suck. This vacation screwed up my internal clock. Oddly enough I still wake up early, just not at 0300.

I can get most of the way back on track tomorrow.

We were looking for 105 but officially hit 102. We're looking for 109 tomorrow and 105 Monday.

    Man - screw that!

I could handle those kind of temps pretty decently when I was younger; but now I get bitchy when it starts creeping over 90 any more. :annoyed::anonymous:

It's just an adjustment in when and how you go about things. And in spite of the jokes, being a dry heat helps a lot. A little breeze can drop the temps a bit, stay out of the direct sun helps a ton. Ice chest full of cold water, small snacks/meals of fruit to keep energy up, long sleeves, cotton clothing and a place to cool down. Plan your moves, plan your day, work the coolest hours and get out before it reaches the high temp times. It's all doable. Some of it is more important than other parts but every little bit helps. Big hats, cool cloths,.gloves for handling hot materials....it goes on and on. Eating a balanced meal at least once a day, no/low alcohol and caffeine...

Front came through and humidity is gone.
But..East wind 25-30mph and Small Craft Warnings in the Sound makes fishing unlikely this morning.
I'll have a coffee at the boat marina I think.

It's always dry here, we're really lucky in that respect. It was like, 81 or so when I came in to work last night just before 6pm.
It was SO tempting to just say fuggit and head out to Pawnee Grasslands and give my Icons a nice workout. :burnrubber:

I wouldn't sweat it to much. It happens. If another one goes, replace it. Probably bad from the factory.

    Damn mice:annoyed:

I had mice go in my intake chew through a brand new filter and make a nest behind the filter. My inlet has 1/4" mesh screen over it now:thumbsup:

Haven't found anything wrong with ours yet. This last weekend we thought we had a problem with the water heater until I found the bypasses on. Opened them to the heater, all good!

My wife and I often wonder how we did it when we were younger with no AC. We gotta have it now when the humidity gets up there!
