Sway bar deleted last year. No perceptible difference from previous.

I have 700# springs, set on 4th notch, full plate bumper, 1/4” skids, 12k winch

If have a front Al plate bumper with a winch. If I remove my sway bar am I asking for issues? I'm already leaning against removing it, but if the added weight up front contributes further to issues I would like to know.

    Thanks all

Sounds like @Subway4X4 upgraded to heavier springs, which will help with the plate bumber. Without checking, I thought the stock 6112 springs are lighter than that.

Checkjng if your 6112 is the latest 3rd gen model? the max height is notch # 6 corect?
The max on 2nd gen 6112 is notch 5

Finally did it, 700lb with notch#4 (from intial notch#6 with stock 600lb spring that cane with 3rd gen 6112) got me too much rake maybe about 2” with no load in back (HD Dakar + AAL). The 2” or so rake would be fine if i carry load in the back constantly but i don’t. Really looking into what additional lift will i get going from notch 4 to 5. Read somewhere its more than the measurement between notches which is about 1/2”.
Rides great for my taste! Def not rides like dump truck/tank like some say.

Would you say with the 700lb spring, +1 perch/notch results in 1” lift?
Measurement between each notch is about 1/2”.

Doubtful that its 1” lift per notch. If that was the case, 5th notch would be 5” of lift. That’s not happening.

    I think he asked if notch 1 = 1"
    notch 2 = 1" + .5" = 1.5"
    notch 3 = 1" + .5" +.5" = 2"
    and etc

That might not be the correct math as well.

That would mean that 5th notch would be 3” and I don’t think the lift goes up to that height.

Was it 2.75” max lift. Not sure now.

    Subway4X4:
how much lift you got with your set up on the 4th notch? I want the same UCAs and 6112s, and already have a plate bumper + winch, so I'm considering stiffer coils.

    Subway4X4:
based in your build page, it seems that you've been at that height for about 16 months now. Have you had any CV issues at that height?

After calling bilstein they said they should have them in stock at their wherehouse in July and to the outlets by August and that the back orders would be filled first.
So I am going to wait.
Would like to run them on the 6th notch with a 1/4" spacer on the driver side. Have an aluminum front bumper about 50lbs and mobtown sliders hoping hoping for above 2" after sag. Anyone doing this good results and ride..?

None. I had to deal with a torn cv boot a couple months ago, but no cv issues.

Do you believe that the torn CV boot was related to the lift? I've done the CV axle rebuild and replacement before, it isn't too bad, just messy as F.

Nope. Old age. CV and boot were original to the truck. ~14 years old.

Got mine in and now just waiting on JBA UCA's so I can install. Went with 6112's on 4th notch up front and 5160's with dakars for the rear.

Did you receive the 6112’s recently?

    NVM, I see you’ve got a 2nd gen.

So are the 6112’s readily available now or is it on a limited basis? Was going the 6112 route but since they have been on backorder i been close to going with ADS coilovers. If these are available again i got some decisions to make.
