The only changes for the Chameleon needed this year was a new air shaft for the Fox fork to upgrade the travel to 140mm, and also new bar end caps lol. Otherwise this bike is dialed.

I also suprisingly listed the Cannondale BOTE on craigslist to see if there are any takers. If it sells, a useless full squish will be in order.

And I also pulled the Ruckus into the garage to start installing the parts pile. It has been at least two months since I recieved the latest part so I pretty much forgot what I bought. I get to play the game of “whats in the box” for the next couple days.

Its about the perfect fun bike.

I ordered early enough and then proceeded to wait long enough for it to arrive that its borderline a complete custom, but with 140mm of travel, dropper post, and a single gear, its simplistic perfection.

I have mentioned it before, but the Cannondale Beast is a great and super fast bike that made me order the Chameleon to have another 27.5+. But the Chameleon takes it to 11, and I literally have nothing bad to say about it.

Sundance Super D today. I felt pretty good about my run except for the part where I nailed my bars on a set of narrow trees and took a quick dirt nap. Came in 8th for my cat/age, so lots of room for improvement.

Tears, Fears, and Beers next weekend!

Got out for a ride with a few buddies the other day and got all four bikes in the bed! I use the Yakima Crash Pad and love it so far. Mostly xc single track around me, but I have a road trip later this summer to get out to some downhill areas in northern MN and the Upper Peninsula of MichiganIMG_2980.jpgIMG_2981.jpg

Anybody running Rocky mounts on a Gen3. I had them on my gen 2 but no front rail on this truck and the tube at the front of the bed interferes with using what I had if I installed a rail...work arounds? I have to maximize the SB length because all my bikes are XL frames

I have a rocky mounts drive shaft on my front rail. The front rail fits on the third gens, you just have to buy one. They are around 40 bucks on Amazon and the bolts are already in place to mount them. I have a roll up cover on my bed so I had to get crafty to work around it. Order a front rail (same as second gens) and slap your rocky mounts on it.

Fixed my drivetrain after Dirt Fest, and made the change back to clipless. Wow I forgot how much faster clipless is haha
