So I have a 2018 Tacoma SR with the black plastic grille, and was able to find a TRD OR grille for cheap on craigslist near me. How do I go about transferring the sensor (I think it's for the TSS?) that's behind the emblem? I've searched and searched and the only things I can find are for going to the PRO grille.

It depends on the year of the OR grille. If you got an 2018 OR grille - no problems, it was designed to work with TSS.

If your new grille is 16-17 then it may or have issues depending on how much of the sensor is blocked.

You'll just have to try it and see.

You can remove the locking washers and remove the center section. Toyota sells a clear cover to replace it and protect the sensor.

A clear cover for the OR grille? It's the emblem itself. Assuming he purchased an 18 grille.

He is talking about the Clear Garnish piece on the 18 Pro Grille, the 17 Pro Grille has a removable piece of black plastic there.

I don't think so. They aren't made for the sensor.

That'd be awesome man, only downside is the trucks a lease and I dont wanna not have the parts to go back to factory if I dont end up buying it. (Probably wont. At this point I think I'll enjoy the lease and then go for an OR)

Yes you can use it, there is a boxed in area for the sensor. You need to remove the plastic piece and buy the 2018 Garnish and you are good to go.

He's got a 17 OR grille. Not the Pro grille.

That's why I like the OR, not many have it. The Pro is cool but it's not for me.

I got this one for $25...I cant find a 2018 that cheap hah.
