    I haven't known anyone to do BARF or RAW in quite awhile now. A few used to do it for their Tollers that were from BC but been quiet on that front, think most have moved off from it for what ever reason.

    Sled dog mushers around here feed road kill deer and all the beaver tails they can get from trappers (pure fat). They run 60\40 protein to fat. And they do freeze dry the tails they throw them in a snow bank :p Not really sure on that one where your at. Sorry not much help on RAW. Good luck and let me know what you come up with! Waiting to see pics of your pup and you. Well OK just the pup works :)

    Speaking of bass: Friday night dinner, my daughter tells us what happened in her AquaCulture class. The landscaping class built a pond at the school and the aquaculture class added a couple hundred gold fish. About two 'ish' week's ago, one of the junior boys dropped in a 2lbf largemouth as a prank. The teacher finally noticed on Friday when most of the goldfish had disappeared. So the kids had to catch the bass and put it in a tank. Teacher called it the new class mascot. :rofl:

    Turned 60 today. As the saying goes known I was going to live this long would have taken better care of myself. Last I saw the actuarial death table for what I did in the Navy after 20 years 48 was the normal End of Life. I plan on making the taxpayers pay as long as I can. Must be the healthy eating :D

    On call and they started calling me at 0500. Family been calling all day too but I'm not complaining about anyone calling. Started this morning working on lechon liempo—Filipino Crispy roasted skin pork belly.

    Short on lemon grass in Mn. so used a lemon.

    And avocado oil to make a paste in the mini food processor.

    Scored the meat and removed the skin up to the point where I rolled it. Don't want skin on the inside of the roll it remains tough. But the outside as long as you get it hot enough becomes cracklings. Pork Rind. Of course I ended up with a sow and had nipples so ended up cutting a bit more skin off than I planned on. But turned out OK at least in the beginning stages.
